Kachemak Bay”, an invitational mixed media
exhibit showcasing the multiple talents of our local artists. Opening reception 5-7pm Friday. The theme encompass the variety of life found
in, on, under, and around Kachemak Bay, including animal, human, sport, and
recreational life.

Day 11am-3pm. Drop off trash at the Chamber of Commerce parking
lot and vie for great prizes for most trash collected. Contact the chamber for additional

Bay Shorebird Festival themed Birds in
Culture: Our Brothers and Sisters Return. We are thrilled to celebrate
spring and the 50th anniversary of Alaska's
Statehood with two keynote speakers: Yup'ik
storyteller Jack Dalton and Paul Baicich,
author, former employee of the American Birding Association and chair of the
Council on Environmental Education's Bird Education Network. This
fun-filled weekend celebrates the annual return of hundreds and thousands of
shorebirds as well as seabirds and woodland birds to Kachemak Bay.
The Festival is geared towards birders of all ages and skills, with workshops
