Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

The Annual Holiday Tree Lighting in Homer, Alaska, is the perfect family-friendly holiday event, and 2023 will have lots of new additions!  Join us on Thursday, November 30th, starting at 5:30 PM when we light up the tree while enjoying an exceptional performance by the KP Brass Band.  Santa then soon arrives, escorted by the Homer Volunteer Fire Department.  The rest of the festivities include kids' crafts, Christmas Carols from the Homer High School Choir, S'More Cups for the kids, and hot cocoa.  

This year, there will also be a Toy Drive coordinated by the Homer Police Department and the Homer Chamber of Commerce to help make sure all our Homer kids have a very special Christmas.  Please bring a new, unwrapped toy or sporting goods item and drop it off at the donation box. Santa has also left a Mailbox at the Chamber, so bring your letters to Santa, and he's sure to get them.

For those who participated in the Shop Local Bingo game, we will draw the winners of Gift Packages and the grand prize of $500 in Homer Bucks.

This event is free, open to the public, and occurs at the Homer Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center, 201 Sterling Highway. Don't miss out on this festive community event! Thursday, November 30th, 2023, starting at 5:30 PM.
